I agree that in the past, the precious metal group often moved in unison.
I'm not sure Gold can any longer be thought of in the same light as before.
It is now predominantly a financial asset, much like it was pre-Bretton Woods, and I don't believe that silver, platinum, or palladium will ever again share the same stature, but will trade according to their specific supply and demand characteristics.
