OK. Let's get this straight.
You are not currently 'holding'.
"if it hits the purple line above"....as you say, you will short. That will be a naked short as you will not be holding at that time.
That is not legal.
Otherwise, "might short when it hits this green line". That also will be a naked short as you will not be holding and that would be, again, not legal.
Let's be honest, you will not be shorting.
As it is written: "when the tide changes, those who have no shorts will be obvious to see".
