The ore can be enhanced to the point where it is profitable to ship and process elsewhere (China).
In my view concentrating locally is a non starter - that is where the huge costs reside.
I left both the concentrator infrastructure and the tails dam off the list because they are not required for a dig and ship model.
It is out of the ground, through a crusher and onto a ship (bound for China)
So the question is - could the Chinese make a go of it at current prices?
The answer I suggest is that they could not care less about prices - their interest lies in securing a reliable supply of strategic metals.
In any event we are blowing smoke because we do not know if the Chinese (or anyone else) has made an approach.
