This is where Gonneville comes into its own - high grade mineralisation is relatively shallow - thus extremely economical and why Chalice has been highlighting its incredible 1st/2nd cost quartile which is among the lowest and most economical in the world. See its last presentation. Only Norilsk is lower. All the PGE mines in South Africa are shutting down because it is not economical.
