If you look at Monday's and Friday's trading action, Mondays are usually down or negative days. Fridays start out negative, but it is a ruse to flush out nervous investors/traders, as the shares usually finish the day strongly, based on those investors/traders banking on a Monday announcement. When the Monday announcement doesn't transpire, then the sp sinks on Mondays, but usually recovers during the week, imo.
