Just goes to show how naive they were with the Scoping Study last year. Either that, or they got so big headed that they thought they could produce any unrealistic nonsense and get away with it. At least we can see that they have had second thoughts but only because the market reaction slammed them.
They now have to deal with the lack of trust that they have created.
Will a JV partner (or two) reinstate that trust? That very much depends on the terms of the JV.
This company became what it is as a result of hype. That hype had an underlying basis of hope in a massive deposit being economic to develop, but the SS shattered that hype. People will not believe any hype going forward and so independent justification of claims is essential.
Just goes to show how naive they were with the Scoping Study...
