Following up on this rant, as regards the total shorts reporting to ASIC;
1 July - pre announcement -% sold short 9.37% ( thanks to Marcus Today for the data)
4 July - post Ann on 3rd - % sold short 11.46% ( from ASIC )
that is 2.09% of the 44.5bn shares in issue and equates to a staggering 8,129,333 shares! ( commsec data)
The sales on 3rd & 4th were 34.5m, so 23% were short!
anyone else find that stunning???
So, while markets have been supportive since, limiting the downside and a bit of a short squeeze today, the fact that this level of incompetency goes on irks me, almost beyond words.
Anyone up for a crusade and any thoughts on how to stop it?
