    "nta:
cho 6.13, security closed up 10c at 6.30. Good to know Mr Milner bought a handful today.
    hmmm......."

The notice said 'Transfer from an Estate'.
    An inheritance probably.
The Millners own shiitloads of CHO, either directly or through their associated comapnies.

The AUI NTA came in at $7.21, (I had predicted $7.18)
The DUI NTA came in at $3.70, (I had predicted $3.68)

It tend to be out by a cent or two by December and June, but I get my bearings back from the Half Year and Final Reports.

Anyway, if I am going to be this game it is good to be better informed than the rest of the market. Barrington also seems to keep his finger on the pulse, but more often than not I beat him to the punch. I suppose he cant be in front of his screen all day, he has Woodside and ANZ to look after.

Incidentally, the point I was trying to make the other day regarding 'focus', AUI and the like will give you your basic exposure to the quality end of the market (banks, BHP, Westfield etc) particularly if you keep buying at discounts to NTA.

The important point if you are going to have your own 'special' individual bets, they must be 101% researched and focused. You must develop and edge against the rest of the market players. eg TOL, CCL etc.
You need to know these companies inside out and be condident buying and selling. This requires time which means that you cant have too many 'specials' You spread yourself too thin. Thats why TPX is not worth your trouble. You are never going to put $100K on TPX.
