The battery area of course is not a hype in the sense that battery efficiency it is not a real life problem. And of course not in the sense that there isn't big money to be made for those who find good solutions. But in the sense that a lot of investment money is going in this area because it is a popular/visible problem that every layman would catch upon thinking "Oh wow, yeah, batteries, every car will have one! I will get rich!". So also a lot of stupid money going in this area.

I believe that from a strategic viewpoint there would be other areas of application less visible that would be a better fit to ADO. Of course they do not sound like the opportunity of a life time. But would have a solid chance of building a great business - even though not being in the spotlight.

It is easier to sell an investment story that sounds like "ADO is on the verge of solving the energy storage problem of the world." than "ADO is building on enhanced filtering techniques." or the like.

And from that perspective I do see it rather as an opportunistic route taken than a strategic one.

POC falls in the same category for me ("Freakin hell, everybody will buy one of these rapid flue tests! I will get super rich!")
