Some say averaging down is not a good idea, however with RES I think it's the smart move. My average was some $3.50 until I took up the full rights issue and cut that figure in half. I have been lucky enough to pump another decent amount of cash into RES since, bringing my breakeven down to 72 cents now. Even though I'm still behind the 8 ball quite a bit I'm very confident that in time I'll be smiling. It's tough when you see stocks such as BCC go through the roof and are left wondering ... 'what if?' but that's the game. Our time will come. Coal will come back in favour soon enough and we'll be trading much higher based on the price of coal alone.
