    I must admit I only skimmed through "Fats that Heal, Fats that kill" book (there were a couple things in it I found incorrect - i.e being a coconut oil fanatic his statement that it is primarily palmitic acid when it actually has only a little palmitic acid and is mostly lauric acid) but if you are interested, here are a couple studies on ALA conversion if you are interested:

    But considering you are limiting Omega6 intake, then your Omega 3 levels should be adequate, and yes you would definitely have the benefits that brings.
