One very lucky person to survive such a youthful cardiac arrest Play2Win. My understanding is that increased peripheral vascularity plays a substantial role in survival, such as found in sportsmen and older people.
Aspirin has been around for a longtime, with few reported major side effects. My personal experience with NSAID, including higher dose aspirin, is that my heart is affected negatively causing an extreme drop in pulse and consequent collapse of blood pressure. I have come across two other cases, both men...they ended up in intensive care wards, the only reason I didn't was that I was unable to call for assistance, but clearly as I'm still here I recovered. Have also had two different anaesthetic agents which had zero effect, and hope that I never have to experience that horror again when doctors deny you have pain until you lose consciousness requiring emergency measures to be taken.
Theoretically the Lipitor you are taking is to prevent a recurrence and reduce your risk of another myocardial infarction, which I presume was the cause of the cardiac arrest you had. Clearly, you need to take the advice of your cardiologist. Perhaps it would be prudent to inform your partner regarding potential neurological symptoms which she can monitor for you and to discuss the matter with the cardiologist.
