    Thanks Chrysalis. I wasn't one of those such sportsmen. I wasn't totally out of shape but I admit that 15 cigs a day would not have helped, though the doctors didn't consider them as a major contributor. My cholesterol levels were good. They seem to blame heredity. This I know squat about because only mum and dad came to Australia and we know squat on family history. Mind you, my mum was a non drinker, non smoker, non junk food etc and she had a coronary at 72, but she was under alot of family stress. Surprisingly the doctors said stress is an under estimated contributor towards health issues...the power of the mind!

    Glad to hear your health scare had a positive result.
