    Diet does not directly affect cholesterol to a large degree. The cholesterol digested does to any great extent become cholestrol in the blood stream

    There is though a very strong indirect connection, a poor diet can lead to a person having a fatty liver, even in a person who does not carry excessive external body fat.

    A fatty liver then affects the livers cholestrol production and more LDL (bad cholestrol) is produced and less HDL (good cholestrol) is produced.

    Gets back basically to a sensible healthy balanced diet containing as much as possible natural unprocessed foods.
