Hi SP3 - I agree, online broker necessary. I use Etrade but have never checked out any others.
Also agree that books, online forums (use more than one to get your info) and seminars are useful. Paper trading I would consider totally necessary if you are looking at short-term trading but if you are a medium to long term trader then the most important thing (in my opinion) is to research the company and it's potential until you are COMFORTABLE to put your money there and not be swayed by fluctuations.
