Yes they can go lower, they can expire out of the money.

I haggled over buying a large parcel of DMNOC and decided that the risk was way too high. There are over 2 billion of them and 1/3 are already in the market depth at 0.002

I also sold my DMN heads at 0.004 today for a very very nice profit.

it's like an oil play, it could go nuts or it could go backwards fast depending on teh drill results.

i needed the money so I sold.
