    Thanks for the thread.

    For a while now I've been thinking of posting one of my favourite and easy snacks/meals. The Chorizo heading has allowed me to do it. -(:-D)


    I use a tin of Campbell's Split Pea & Ham soup, and 1 from a pack(2) of Don's Chorizo I buy from Cole's.

    I slice the Chorizo fairly thinly (perhaps 3 or 4 mls) and then 'cook' it in a Microwave at 80% for 3 minutes, drain off/discard the liquid + fat released during the process.

    I ignore the Campbell's directions and only add 1/4 tin of water to the soup mix, blend it together then 'cook' at 80% for 3 minutes.

    Take out, stir and then add the sliced Chorizo. Mix in and heat at 80 for one more minute.

    Take out, add pepper and sample! Try just to sample the once, then put into a container, seal and place in fridge for a day or two.

    Viola! For a late-night snack or for a light meal, take some, reheat and enjoy.

    I really like it.
