I can't wait to see how renewables will meet the future massive power increases if there is no use of alternate power supplies as we move more and more into a power driven society. There is clearly a role for using renewables but I don't think it's a case of one source only. We need to have some other backup and nuclear seems to fit that space. so far it has proven to be totally uneconomic for homes to add battery backups due to their high costs and relatively short life and use of dangerous materials. ?
