Our coal fired power stations lasted ten times longer than my solar panels. I'm a fan of hydro. Not just for the power but for the advantages of storing water and its agricultural use. The argument against coal is the cost of carbon credits, designed to drive it out of business. No credit is given to the CO2 advantage that there is for plant growth and food production.
Coal is King. (along with cash). Use coal and we'll have more cash.
