@seamisty there is no doubt, that if the in home nanny trial is successful and implemented that it will have an impact on the occupancy levels of centres.

Both G8 and Affinity have been given plenty of notice about the possible changes ahead in childcare. I had hoped that either Affinity or G8 would have taken the opportunity to: purchase or commence operating their own nanny service within some of their cluster centres, purchase or commence their own training college to address some of the current staff vacancies and provide a solution to the additional staff that will be required from January 2016 due to regulation changes, instead they focused on bulldozing their way ahead by accumulating acquisitions. The acquisition accumulation frenzy became almost a point scoring competition between both corporates and did nothing to improve occupancy levels in centres.

They have been given plenty of warning of the changes ahead and failed, so far, to prepare for those changes.

All those self proclaimed members of corporate childcare management who are "passionate about early childhood education" those whose lives are "full of children and families every day" and neither of them operate a centre anywhere solely for children with additional needs. A very poor reflection of supposed passion for early childhood. There is so much more to early childhood than growth by acquisition.
