No idea what the SWFU is but what concerns me about the government is that they never take a backward step on any proposal on the basis of affordability.
The states will just have to "find" the money - as we apparently will with the Disability Support Scheme and as we will with the NBN. They just go for it - it's as if they are hell bent on leaving a legacy of reforms that they can look back on in their old age.
They have also watched too many re-runs of Cool Hand Luke, because they are fixated on the quote "what we have here is a failure to communicate". You can't have every state and the universities all complaining about the lack of discussion without there being some truth in it.
I think what we have hear is a good government that's lost it's way - and yes, that's not original.
