    Yes, I suppose it depends on one's definition of special.
    Man has certain additional functions that as far as we know are not shared by the rest of the animal kingdom.

    As far as the shared functions and senses, most of the other animals are superior to Man in one or more aspects.
    Also, they don't normally exploit their environment in the way Man does.

    So, what does that mean ?
