"People like Milat...". ..... should never be released. People like the Murdoch brothers who led by Travis (can't recall his last name) raped and murdered Anita Cobby are intrinsically dangerous and given an opportunity, will offend again. Bail should never be granted to such people.

Apart from the above, yes the bail laws are treacherous and at times perhaps misused. Hard to say unless you're the judge in the case really.
