Hi Retro and Voltaire
I might add to that:
Retro thinks 'he' exists Voltaire 'knows' 'he' doesnt...
Hmmm I 'think' you both could entertain the concept that a 'belief' about something is completely different to a 'knowing' about something.....
A belief is handed down or taken on board...it is outside of a persons (kn)own experience.
A knowing is something that is directly experienced.
So if you both believe something to be true because you have both seemingly stated that you both 'know'...then at best one of you is right and one of you is wrong :)
Therefore the 'knowing' part of both of your points of view is flawed is it not?
I will leave you both to 'think' about that ;)
Incidentally I know that I dont know. I also know that I believe any number of possibilities to exist and that the only way I will come to a 'knowing' is to directly experience it...
I 'believe' this to be true...but dont 'know' it to be true ;)
