Many so-called Christians are going to be stunned to learn they are rejected when Jesus' manifestation occurs. (2 Thessalonians 2:8) Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence.
However, this does not mean genuine Christianity does not exist. Jesus will intervene in their behalf. (2 Thessalonians 1:6, 7) This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for you. 7 But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels
