I suspect that those making these prophecies are beginning to learn from fear of being sued for misrepresentation.
So instead of the message being that Jesus / God or whoever is going bring the system of things to an end at a certain event they have replaced the message with: the system of things will be brought to an end by Jesus/God or whoever soon. If this doesn't happen soon the instruction is to reread the message. Note, also the use of the word "things", to avoid being caught in the trap of being too specific.
