Satan in the old testament is portrayed as an agent of God, doing Gods will. The idea of the fall comes from apocryphal sources, the book of Enoch and developed in new testament times.
Plus simple logic tells us that two contradictory beliefs are not compatible....they have conflicting elements. If one is true, the other must be false. Or both can be false, their premises being flawed.
