However for all practical purposes we better conduct our lives as if it does not.
But we can still live by a moral code
IMO the issue of the existence of God can be accommodated by individuals in their own way
The problem with established Churches---- like the Roman Catholics--- has been their attempts to tell us what God is and we should take it as truth and have faith
But some churches allow the individual more leeway--suggesting the individual can be guided by the Church--but in the end each individual can develop their own relationship to a God
That approach--- that is more like the Lutherans-- from what I have gathered---- is more sensible and practical
