Hnnn the heart came fairly late to that game- look to the spleen, the liver and even the lungs for the earlier ‘homes of the spirit’.*

Today’s brain theory? It’s looking more and more like we are, ( our conscious selves ), but one of a multitude of bacteria etc which far outnumber us and most certainly control/influence our behaviours with the enzymes etc they release in to the system.

Quip- a lot of the things we do are actually at the behest of chemical hungry bacteria- although it’s such a neatly tied up and circular system that it’s a pleasanltly maddening catch 22 when we wonder ‘who am I?’
