In the west the catholic religion rule.
The jews from their perspective are a minority and the muslins have their head in their sights
The muslims are too hard to tackle front on as they blow shit up

So really, in the west, the Catholics are the target of choice as that, to them, is the bulwark against omnipotent and omnipresent state rule, and also the family is another bulwark...hence, they do whatever they can to undermine the efficacy and existence of the nuclear family
