If that were the case, why are the gospels not more consistent? Why does John say he carried his cross to Golgotha, but others say he didn't? Why two versions of Judas death plus one statement that he didn't die? Why does only one gospel mention Jesus being stabbed - is his mutilation so insignificant as to be not worth mentioning? Hardly. How are my death sentence quotes taken out of context? How is God ordering Moses and his whole assembly to stone the sabbath breaker to death out of context? This is your God don't forget - the same one that accepts human sacrifice (Jephthah's daughter).
