Don't get too carried away. Sure Judeo-Christian ethics played some part in the Western legal development system but not ALL rights and laws are derived from Christianity. You also have to ask yourself the origin of some principles that Judeo-Christian ethics holds dear. Crimes such as theft and murder were always crimes long before Christianity. Murder was murder in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome.
As for the Portuguese and Dutch are they not Christians?
