Er, they do already. This debate is really funny. One would think that everything the people need for survival comes from the city. The greens want more public transport (city), and nothing spent on new roads. That's just fine, but just go to any city supermarket and show me some food that is grown in the city.

What do you think all those hundreds of semitrailers on rural highways are carting? Air? Well, no, mostly it is stuff produced in the country being transported to the city.
