    Hey Rebel, not looking for well done's didn't mean it to come out that way.

    It didn't come out that way. But it does deserve a well done.

    To be honest, I've always wanted to do something like that but I seem to find excuses not to...too busy or not the right time in my life etc. I think the main reason is that I may not be able to deal with the emotional side of it. I realise that the people are not looking for pity or even empathy...they may just need something as simple as a bit of company and may not necessarily be 'down and out.' Who knows what lays beneath a person's facade.

    Xmas is a challenging time for some. It tends to compound the loneliness they experience the rest of the year. Being alone Xmas day, on it's own, may not be a issue for most people. But having no one special on Xmas as well can be devestating.

    I have total respect for anyone who selflessly helps someone...especially on special occasions. And like you state...it can also be more helpful for the person helping than the person helped.
