I have a different view. 20 years is a long time.
The Covid vaccines where developed tested and approved in about a year. Sure, in a global emergency. But stems were touted to to be a a miracle cure and there is nothing on the horizon
I suppose the vaccines had one big advantage, however. They showed that they worked.
