The sweet spot:
Specialist: "Looks, we've got two options here:
1. We go with surgery. It's complex, recovery will involve a lot of rehab, and at least intermediate use of opioids, not to mention the expense. Plus, it's at best about 33% likely to work. OR
2. We go with the stem cells. About a third of the price, better than 50% likely to work, relief should be within a few days, and we can do the procedure today.
If they can make the price work and be around that 1/3 of surgical cost, there will be a stampede.
Who in their right mind is going to say "Get the knives out doc, let's do this thing!"
