my comments don’t just apply to your particular grab bag of ethnicity and its badges of mental apartheid. Even though all people have an ethnic identity of some sort, aren’t there more expansive but less selfish issues and especially individual perceptions? Just glad for the black sheep like my ancestors in the early 1800s ..... the ones who break the breed, leave the comforts of the playpen, get out to share, learn and mix, accept personal challenges, grow rather than cringe, enjoy rather than fester, create rather than copy, contribute rather than take, ,,,, and who are inclusive rather than exclusive.

Thnooka, the ethnocentric envy argument of “perhaps that's what pisses you off?” is off the mark. Brilliant individuals are not confined by some ethnicity but are generally from that “black sheep” category that your Rachel Neuwirth sets out to isolate. The best rule is no rules ...... e.g. It was once thought that there never could be a number one golfer in the world who wasn’t white. And who would have thought one would be a Fijjian?

If you wish to discuss achievements from an ethnic slant, just remember that perhaps they too are “black sheep”. Personally we should admire excellence in all spheres of interest and curiosity .......... e.g. gardening, pastry making, teaching, nursing, wine making, ........... etc
