I will add my 5 cents worth here.
Recently with the recent Macro-Stress point being Cyprus, what happened to the Gold price? The POG was falling previously then it found a floor at about the $1600 mark.
Now, magnify the Cyprus issue 10 fold, 20 fold, etc. I would expect that the only place for funds to flow into as a "Safe Haven" will be Gold. The POG may fall initially, but once the dust settled & the sheer magnitude of the Macro problem got identified then I would expect Major inflows into Gold.
This having major positive impact on all Gold Stocks esp. those that are well placed such as ABM Resources.

Also when the first GFC happened, there was an initial drop of 30% in the POG, then it shot up againt to record levels.

I'm happy to be corrected here.
