I would have thought shorting creates more of a vicious circle of volatility and does the exact opposite of orderly.
Maybe orderly in that some can make money if it goes up or down. Only orderly when the market works for them.
You'll have to try much harder to convince me that shorting isn't about as necessary as a decomposing rat in the wall.
