I do hope lizzy doesn't accept your intervention as an excuse not to provide his Biblical references.

As for yours, we have been through it several times.
Peter (assuming "Peter" was not one or more of Paul's pupils) was defending Paul and his approach which clearly was not accepted by many of the early Jewish/Christian converts. Peters letters have all the hallmarks of advice or instructions given in response to the in-fighting and division that inevitably occurs in any movement.

In any case, saying someone writes according to wisdom given is in no way claiming that writing was authored by God.
Many of those early Christians ... including Peter according to some, certainly did not regard some of Paul's attitudes and views as "wisdom" let alone the word of God.

Nor does the 2 Tim 3:16 reference to scripture include Paul's letters or any of the NT writings. It clearly refers to existing OT and Jewish scriptures available to Timothy .. in the absence of Paul himself, at that time.
Not to mention that "all Scripture (that) is inspired of God '', is simply an opinion.
A standard way to confer unwarranted authority from no less than the Creator of The Universe ... in line with the established Jewish practice of those who felt they were qualified to speak for God and show others the "true" way.

Anyone with even a smattering of knowledge regarding the genesis and development of what became the official "Bible" ... which version ?? which translation ?? could possibly claim that it was authored by God.
