Given it is a church and they carry a lot of voting power, it is likely they will try and bury it anyway. But it will have to be based on substance now.

One thing the church will have to explain, no doubt, is how the $6.5m plus $3m upgrade of the unit was financed; not to mention the 30,000 dollar dresses? You might be right that it is all a beat-up but let us wait and see. I saw a very angry Greek man on tv whose Mum had passed away at the home during the pandemic. He is not alone.

The Royal Commission highlighted the disgraceful administration of aged care including systemic abuse of our senior citizens. When supposedly not for profit organisations receive govt subsidies as well as contributions from the residents in care all funds should be used in the interests of those residents.
