I have never seen or heard of such figures,and yes I did for quite a few years work in Aged Care (in the office).

'The average government payment for each permanent resident was $65,600 in 2017–18.'

Those residents with substantial assets are charged accordingly.

And yes Aged Care,to certain extent, is subsidised by the Federal Government, but I have never heard of such a figure as $65,000.
