I am disputing Scorpions notion that you need to be a sophisticated investor to appear in a broker settlement account.
Anyone, large or small who buys on a t+3 BASIS may find their share sitting in the settlement account for a few days. Size has nothing to do with it.
Its very simple. The ASX says that until you have paid, the shares cant be transferred to your name. It you take 3 days to pay as most T+3 clients do, then the shares will sit for a time in the Nominee account.
Sorry but there is no conspiracy there even though some keep trying very hard to make one.
