The breadth of new construction and infrastructure projects in Australia atm is impressive- from highways to major tunnels, from hydro schemes and city metros, to  urban regeneration, inland rail, hotel, commercial & residential towers, casinos, and yes, even prisons.

At $145m, while not a massive new project for CIMIC,  the Capricornia Correctional Centre upgrade announced on the 22nd September, does speak directly to the strength of the project pipeline in Australia.

Announcing the new project, CIMIC Group Chief Executive Officer Adolfo Valderas said: “Australia’s construction project pipeline remains strong and continues to present CIMIC Group and CPB Contractors with opportunities to utilise our diverse capabilities and major project experience."

Construction is expected to commence in early 2018 and conclude in 2020.

Aconex has a strategic partnership agreement with CIMIC, which reads at the headline:

Aconex Will Serve Existing and New CIMIC Projects, Acquire INCITE Keystone Technology, Add Development and Support Teams
