This is old news but perhaps some sort of update from Engin might be due to re-assure customers and shareholders?

I note that MyNetFone has recently introduced it's Virtual PABX as it controls all of it's backend through Symbio Networks, the private company owned by the 2 largest shareholders of MNF.

Perhaps we will see Symbio running the Engin backend before too long?

Just so you know, I hold MNF and from the article below, for good reason.

    Cisco cuts Engin's software

INTERNET telephony specialist Engin could face serious technical challenges with its voice over internet protocol software, which is rapidly approaching redundancy.

Cisco, which owns the software system underpinning Engin's VoIP service, will no longer maintain the product from June.

That would leave the internet telephony provider with the choice of replacing its voice infrastructure or taking on the expense of developing the product itself.

The software, currently known as Cisco SIP Proxy Server, was originally developed by Dynamicsoft.

Cisco Engineering acquired the company late in 2004.

Cisco, which has not sold the product since November 2006, plans to stop maintaining the software from May 30.

"After that Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain or test the product software," a notice on its website says.

A spokesman for Engin said the company was comfortable with the situation. "We are very confident any bugs introduced in the 2006 release have been fixed," he said.

"The platform has been running stably in our network for a number of years.

"We are not concerned that suddenly we will find bugs in a code base continuously modified over seven years."

Industry observers have expressed concerns that Engin may face technical difficulties introducing new features to the software that would meet the demands of business customers -- particularly hosted PABX, which replaces conventional business call switching systems.

Engin's spokesman said the concerns were unfounded.

"We will be adding new features to our service," he said.

"In 2008, you will see these manifested in more advanced Engin voice services.

"Hosted PABX functionality could certainly be one of these services, but it all depends onthe strategic direction of Engin and the needs of our customers."

Some industry observers said this could be a costly and complex exercise.

Cisco declined to comment about the features available with current versions of the software and the potential to update them.
