Supply smoothing is a hard one to judge. A little over a year ago the US defined battery life for Cars as when they could no longer hold 80% of their original capacity many manufactures and other countries are now adopting this. These old batteries can last many years when used for supply smoothing where Charge and discharge rates can be tightly controlled. Also size and weight are not important like with cars. So supply smoothing uses manly old EV batteries. So low Li demand increase.
