Drazicc85, totally agree. Banks like Citi and GS act more like hedge funds these days. They are not advising their clients but taking the bank's own position (for the bank's benefit not the clients).
I am just reading "Why I left Goldman Sachs" by Greg Smith a very interesting book showing that banks now often consider their clients to be the 'counterparty'.
It doesn't mean their opinions can be ignored as they are very powerful and sometimes right!
