dont neccessarily disagree with you (yes double negative so i may agree with you) however these acquisition discussions were as recent as early last week. surely they would have a insight into the total risk before this. my understanding is they walked away based upon price. they were after a "steal" and when this didn't occur they walked away. there is still talk of a hbos acquisition so not sure what is going on there. think there will still be some pain but unless the aust market starts to fall apart, they should be ok
