LSP - is a $6B revenue p/a sector growing 10%. Telus only bought the AI arm of Lionbridge not the whole company.
Appen is in the top five in terms of revenue in LSP if it wants to be a top three player will need to acquire someone like Transperfect or Language Line Solutions to be a top 2 player.
Training data is a different beast - Elon Musks Open AI business uses training data for machine learning.
That sector is very large and these AI labs will require top end quality data to make their models work.
Appen is still growing and profitable - the negativity around it is warranted of course but it makes money
Citi rates APX as Buy. Target Price is $14.80, page-14
