@Thesi
From the 25/05/2017 announcement:
5.82% Li2O, 2.24% mica, 2.22% moisture
In their 2/03/2017 announcement they quote a moisture level below 2%
I guess we can assume around 2% is the norm. So 8% in your calculations is very conservative.
Latest Shipment announcement:
Mt Cattlin is running at 440 dmt/day with 54.3% recovery and mica~1.38%~, conservatively assuming a grade of 5.5% (below previous shipment). Forecasted excess production of 160,000 DMT.
Mt Cattlin operations are still being tweaked. The grade has improved from around 5.5 to 5.8% and the recovery of 54% still leaves some healthy margins. I hope they stockpile the waste for alternative processing like selling it as DSO
I can see a positive trajectory in operation efficiencies, and I think there is plenty of further upside in optimising the plant. We have to acknowledge that relative little time has passed since it was restarted.
I wonder whether improving the recovery is easier and will increase the revenue more than reaching a grade of 6%.
